A little about us... What happens when you take an experienced artist with 25 years of seasoning in rockabilly and blues and country, and throw him in with three fresh-faced young talents? Formed in 2005 out of the ashes of The Famous Rockabillys and from borrowing a couple of members of Soviet Union (also in Transylvanian Trash) and a neighbor, this eclectic quartet still shares a number of influences which can be readily be seen in their music. Across the board, Johnny Cash has been called upon many a time for inspiration, as well as a collective admiration for artists like The Misfits, Hank III, Bill Morrison and Howlin' Wolf. The incomparable lineup of Al Krivoy on vocals, Tony Cozzaglio rockin' guitar, Eric Soules pickin' bass and workin' his pipes, with Hugh Skiffington on skins, intermingles the technicality, sagacity and insight of experience with the eagerness, spontaneity and vigor of youth. Since their inception, The Black Cats have done nothing but work extremely hard. They've slaved through umpteen hours of practice, honing their signature sound, spent countless hours in the studio recording their debut album, and playing live gigs around West Michigan. Now
that they've gained fans from Lowell to the lakeshore, the Black Cats
are ready to see if they can conquer a continent where the underground
rockabilly scene is immensely popular. The group plans to embark on
their full-blown European tour in late April of 2006.
